If you want to carry a full set of clubs, we
recommend that the smallest diameter should be 8.5".
If you want to carry less than a full set of clubs,
you probably don't want a bag with a diameter more than 8.5".
Dividers
- Top Configuration
Dividers describes how many physical spaces exist
looking down at the top. Although some bags have as few as 4,
some have 14.
Looking at the above picture, the bag has a 14 Way
Top - meaning 14 physical spaces.
Full
Length Dividers
Full Length Dividers describes how many dividers have
fabric fully enclosing the divider from the bottom of the top to the
bottom of the bag.
Some bags have a few - some have the same number of
full length dividers as the top.
What is right for you depends on individual
preference. Some times the full length dividers help the club
grips from becoming tangled together at the bottom of the bag.
On the other hand, some of us don't have that problem. And
typically this will add to the cost of the bag.
Generic Height
Some companies design bags for ladies that are one in
shorter than the typical bag. This works well for ladies
length clubs - one 1" shorter than men's length - and is almost a
requirement for petite length clubs.
Other companies use the same bag for men and women -
and use a woman's color/fabric. The bag is typically 1" higher
than one designed for ladies clubs. The height works for
ladies length - but we don't recommend it for petite clubs - as the
bag was designed for clubs 2" longer. A 1" drop isn't that
noticeable (for ladies length) - but a 2" drop is - in our opinion.
